You can cancel your Sayweek subscription at any time. Your Workspace keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, and then it does not renew.
1. Scope
This policy explains how you cancel a Sayweek subscription and when we refund payments. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all Plans and AI packs.
2. Free trial
The 14-day trial is free and needs no payment card. It ends automatically; there is nothing to cancel and nothing is charged.
If you signed up through a referral link, the first 30 days of your first paid subscription are free. If you cancel before they end, nothing is charged.
3. How to cancel
An Owner of the Workspace can cancel at any time:
- Card, wallet, SEPA or bank transfer (Stripe): in Sayweek, Settings → Subscription → Manage billing. This opens Stripe’s secure customer portal, where you choose “Cancel subscription”.
- PayPal: in Sayweek, Settings → Subscription → Cancel, or in your PayPal account under the automatic payments settings.
The mobile apps offer no purchases, so there is nothing to cancel in the App Store or Google Play. Deleting the Workspace also ends the subscription immediately.
4. What happens after cancelling
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Until then, everything keeps working, and nothing more is charged.
- After that, writing and publishing pause and scheduled posts are no longer sent. You can still sign in, read and export your data.
- You can subscribe again at any time; the offers valid at that moment apply to the new subscription.
5. Your data after the subscription ends
Your posts, brands and rules stay available (read-only) so that you can export them. [Owner: how long data is kept after the end of a subscription before deletion (e.g. 90 days), with an e-mail reminder beforehand?] After that, or earlier if you delete the Workspace yourself, we delete the data as described on the Data deletion page. Tax invoices are kept for as long as tax law requires.
6. Refunds
- Fees are paid in advance. We do not refund unused days or partial billing periods after cancellation (no pro-rata refunds).
- Annual plans are paid in advance for twelve months. Cancelling stops the next yearly renewal; the Plan keeps working until the end of the paid year, and unused months are not refunded. [Owner: any refund on early cancellation of an annual plan (e.g. within 14 days of the first payment)?]
- Founding members: if a founding-member subscription is cancelled and ends, the founding discount ends for good; a new subscription is billed at the prices then valid.
- Referral credits are set off against your future invoices. They are not paid out in cash, also not when you cancel.
- Exceptions: where the law requires a refund, where the Terms provide for one (for example if we terminate without cause, if you reject a material change of the Terms, or in the case of prolonged force majeure), or where we decide to refund at our discretion (for example after a long outage).
- Refunds are made to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, the money arrives within about 5–10 business days.
7. AI packs
- An AI pack (+50 AI-written posts) is valid for the calendar month of purchase. Unused posts expire at the end of the month and are not refunded.
- Once any post of a pack has been used, the pack cannot be refunded.
- If you bought a pack by mistake and have not used it, write to us within 14 days of purchase and in the same calendar month; we then refund it. [Owner: confirm the refund of unused AI packs (14 days, same month)]
8. Duplicate or incorrect charges
If you were charged twice, charged the wrong amount or charged after a cancellation that had already taken effect, we refund the excess in full. Please tell us at hello@sayweek.com within 60 days of the charge, with the invoice number.
9. Credit notes
For every refund, full or partial, we issue a credit note that refers to the original tax invoice and corrects the VAT where VAT was charged. You find credit notes next to your invoices in Settings → Subscription.
10. Chargebacks
If something is wrong with a charge, please contact us first – we usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. If a chargeback is opened, we may pause writing and publishing until it is resolved. If the chargeback turns out to be unjustified, the amount remains payable, and we may charge the dispute fees we incurred. [Lawyer: may we pass on the dispute fees?]
11. Upgrades and downgrades
- Upgrade: takes effect immediately; the difference for the rest of the period is charged pro rata.
- Downgrade: takes effect immediately; the unused difference is credited against your next invoice, not paid out. If you then cancel, remaining credit is not paid out either, unless the law requires it.
- Brands and channels above the smaller Plan’s limits stay, but you cannot add new ones.
12. Business customers only
Sayweek is sold only to businesses. The statutory right of withdrawal for consumers (for example the 14-day cooling-off period for distance contracts in the EU) therefore does not apply. [Lawyer: confirm that no statutory withdrawal right applies to B2B customers]
