Connect Google Business Profile

Coming soonThis feature is coming soon – this guide shows how it will work.

Updates, offers and events on your Google Business Profile with a button and photo; views and clicks on Maps and Search.

Updated:

The Google Business Profile connection is a separate Google sign-in that brings in the business profiles (locations) you manage. Sayweek publishes an approved post to the chosen location at its scheduled time.

Connect

  1. Open Settings → Brands & channels.
  2. In the How Sayweek publishes – connected accounts area, click + Connect account.
  3. In the Which account do you want to connect? window, choose Google Business Profile.
  4. Sign in with the Google account that manages the business profile and allow access.
  5. Back in Sayweek, tick the location in the What should we do with the new account? window and choose New brand for these or Add to an existing brand.

If your account manages several locations, pick one on the channel's Edit → Publishing → Directly tab under Where should it post directly?. Connecting needs the owner or editor role.

Posts

  • In the post editor, the Post type can be Update, Offer or Event; events and offers need a title and a start date.
  • Under Button you can add a button (e.g. book, order); every button except “Call now” needs a link.
  • Photo: JPEG or PNG, at least 250×250 px, max. 5 MB. The text can be up to 1,500 characters.
  • Delete a published post with Delete from the platform.

Statistics

Sayweek fetches the location's daily figures: views on Maps and Search, website clicks, calls and direction requests. Google no longer provides figures per post.

Disconnect

  1. Open Settings → Brands & channels and expand the How Sayweek publishes – connected accounts area.
  2. On the Google Business Profile card, click Remove under the account and confirm. Its channels then stop posting.
