Notion: content calendar and ideas
Coming soonThis feature is coming soon – this guide shows how it will work.
Sends your content calendar to a Notion database and brings ideas from another Notion database into the ideas box. Both optional.
Updated:
The Notion connection does two things, both optional: it exports your content calendar (the posts of the last 2 and next 4 weeks) into a Notion database, and brings ideas from another Notion database into the ideas box.
Connect
- Open Settings → All integrations and click the Notion card.
- Click + Connect Notion.
- In Notion, choose which pages and databases Sayweek can access, and allow it.
- Back in Sayweek, click Load databases and pages.
- Under Content calendar export, pick from Existing database… and click Use it – or pick from New database on this page… and click Create it.
- Under Ideas import, pick the ideas database from Existing database… and click Use it.
How it works
- Export: columns Name, Date, Brand, Channel, Status, Link; the post text goes into the page body. It updates daily by itself and right after approval; Sync now runs it by hand.
- Import: if the database has a “Sayweek” checkbox, only ticked pages come in, otherwise every new page. It runs hourly; Import now runs it straight away.
- Sayweek only sees the pages you shared with it. For the export it writes to the chosen database, and on import it ticks the
Importedcheckbox (orÁtvéve/Übernommen) if there is one.
Disconnect
- To stop one feature, click Turn off in that section.
- To disconnect completely, click Disconnect and confirm – the pages in Notion stay.
