tl;dv transcripts as an idea source

Connect tl;dv with your own API key (Pro or Business plan): your meeting transcripts become anonymised post ideas.

Updated:

tl;dv records and transcribes your Zoom, Meet and Teams calls. Once connected, Sayweek looks for post ideas in the transcripts and notes, anonymised.

Before you start

  • A tl;dv API key needs a Pro or Business tl;dv plan. A meeting can be read when the *organiser's* plan allows exporting it.
  • Sayweek checks the key with a health call, stores it encrypted and only uses it to read.
  • Owners and editors can connect and configure it, only owners can disconnect it; viewers can't change it.

Connect

  1. In tl;dv, open tldv.io → Settings → Personal settings → API keys and create a key.
  2. Open Settings → All integrations.
  3. Click the tl;dv card – its panel opens on the right (at the bottom on a phone).
  4. Paste the key into the tl;dv API key field.
  5. Click Save key. The connection shows the last four characters of the key.
Settings → All integrations: integration cards in groups, each with a status badge.

What Sayweek reads

  • Once a day (after 6 am home time) it looks at the meetings of the last 3 days; Sync now looks at the last 7 days. One run handles at most 8 meetings.
  • The transcript is only read in memory and never stored. Before anything goes to Claude, names, companies, e-mail addresses and phone numbers are masked, speakers become “A”, “B”, and sentences about prices, contracts, health or legal matters are left out.
  • Meetings marked private or confidential – or with titles such as “1:1”, “interview”, “confidential” – are not even opened.
  • Each meeting gives 1–3 ideas on Ideas → From mail & calendar, with “meeting” as the source. The same meeting never gives ideas twice.

What you can set

After connecting, the connection's card decides which meetings are used. Save applies your changes.

  • Which meetings: Only the ones I hosted (default) or Every meeting I was in. tl;dv doesn't tell us who owns the key, so Only the ones I hosted doesn't filter here – the duration, title and domain rules do.
  • At least this many minutes: shorter meetings are skipped (15 by default).
  • Skip when the title contains (comma separated): e.g. “internal, board”.
  • Skip when a participant is from: e.g. the domain of a sensitive client.
  • Brand: with more than one brand you can fix which brand gets the ideas – by default Any brand (Claude picks).

Disconnect

  1. Open Settings → All integrations.
  2. Click the tl;dv card – its panel opens on the right (at the bottom on a phone).
  3. In the connection's row, click Disconnect (owners only).
  4. Confirm the question. Ideas already created stay. You can also delete the key on tl;dv's API keys page.
How do I check that it works?

In the card's panel, click Test connection: it fetches the list of the last week's meetings without reading any transcript. Sync now asks for ideas right away and shows how many meetings gave how many ideas.
