Connect YouTube
Coming soonThis feature is coming soon – this guide shows how it will work.
Upload videos and Shorts straight to your YouTube channel – private by default – and read back the views.
Updated:
The YouTube connection is a separate Google sign-in with upload permission. Sayweek uploads an approved video to your channel at its scheduled time.
Before you start
- A YouTube post needs a video (MP4 or MOV) – text or image posts can't go out.
- Your Google account needs a YouTube channel; if it has none, create one on YouTube first.
- Connecting needs the owner or editor role.
Connect
- Open Settings → Brands & channels.
- In the How Sayweek publishes – connected accounts area, click + Connect account.
- In the Which account do you want to connect? window, choose YouTube.
- Sign in with your Google account and tick the YouTube upload permission.
- Back in Sayweek, choose New brand for these or Add to an existing brand in the What should we do with the new account? window.
Visibility
On the channel's Edit → Publishing → Directly tab, choose under Visibility: Private, Unlisted (link only) or Public. It's private by default: nothing appears publicly until you change it.
What happens next
Large videos upload in several parts and can take a while; if an upload still isn't finished after 24 hours, the post reports an error. Views, likes and comments appear on the Analytics page.
Disconnect
- Open Settings → Brands & channels and expand the How Sayweek publishes – connected accounts area.
- On the YouTube card, click Remove under the account and confirm. Its channels then stop posting.
