Images and video for a post

Upload your own image, generate one with AI, use stock photos from Unsplash and Pexels, pick from Drive, OneDrive or Canva, and upload video.

Updated:

You add the post's image in the Image section of the editor (on video channels it's called Video, Video or image or Image / video). Claude also writes an image suggestion for the post – you see it in the Image: and Alternative: lines. You can add an image while the post can be edited, and to an approved post until it goes out – the new image is then pushed to Postiz too.

Uploading your own image

  1. In the Image section, click Image (if there is one already: Replace image).
  2. Pick the file – the browser scales it down before uploading, so phone photos go up quickly.

Generating an image with AI

  1. Click ✦ Generate image; the dialog shows Claude's image brief.
  2. Add an extra request if you like (for example “evening, warm light”).
  3. Click Image with ChatGPT or Image with Gemini – if both are available, also With both.
  4. Pick a variant with Choose this to put it into the post.

Stock photos (Unsplash, Pexels)

  1. Click Stock photo – the search already suggests keywords from the post text.
  2. Change the keywords (English works best), set the Orientation and click Search.
  3. To put the photographer's name into the post as well, tick Add the credit to the end of the text.
  4. Click the photo you want – it's added to the post, and the credit always shows in the editor.

Drive, OneDrive, Canva and brand graphics

  • Drive: with Google Drive connected you pick from your post photos folder; Let Claude suggest looks for photos that match the image brief (Google Drive).
  • OneDrive: with a Microsoft 365 account you pick from My files and Shared with me (OneDrive).
  • Canva: From a Canva design inserts an existing design, New Canva design starts a new one (Canva).
  • ◧ Brand graphic: your brand's templates, filled in from the post text (Brand graphics).

Uploading video

YouTube needs a video, TikTok takes a video or an image, and Instagram and Facebook take video too with a direct Meta connection. On such a channel the Video button uploads an MP4 or MOV file of up to 500 MB. The video is stored in Vercel Blob and deleted together with the post. If storage isn't switched on for the server, you see a note about it instead of the button.
