Google Drive
Photos for your posts from your Google Drive, and the monthly content plan exported as a Google Doc. You can connect several Drive accounts.
Updated:
With Google Drive you can pick a photo for a post in the post editor, and export the month's content plan from the calendar as a Google Doc. You can connect several Drives, for example your own and a company account.
Before you start
You need a Google account with Drive. Owners and editors can connect it.
Connect
- Open Settings → Google Drive.
- Click Connect Google Drive (if an account is already there: + Add another Google Drive).
- Choose your Google account and allow Drive access on the consent screen.
- Back in Sayweek you see “Google Drive connected.” and the account appears in the list.
Pick a photo for a post
- Open the post and scroll to the Image section.
- Click Drive.
- Choose the image in Google's file picker – Sayweek copies it to the post.
Monthly export
With the account's Edit button you can fill in Export folder (link) (paste the folder link from the browser's address bar) and switch on Send the monthly export here. The Export to Google Doc button in the calendar then writes the month's posts into that folder.
What Sayweek can access
Only the files you choose in the file picker and the files Sayweek creates itself (the export document). It can't see the rest of your Drive and never deletes anything.
Disconnect
- Open Settings → Google Drive.
- Next to the account, click Disconnect and confirm.
