Google Workspace: one account, four features
One Google account for Gmail ideas, Google Calendar, Drive photos and Meet transcripts – you switch each one on separately; Sayweek only reads.
Updated:
On the All integrations page, a single Google Workspace card brings the Google features together. You connect your Google account once, then switch the features on one by one – Google only ever asks permission for the one you're switching on. Sayweek only reads: it never sends, changes or deletes anything.
Before you start
- You need the owner or editor role.
- Any Google account works (gmail.com or a company Google Workspace). Meet transcripts need a Workspace edition that includes transcription.
- Signing in with Google (Account tab) is only for logging in – it gives no access to your e-mail or files.
Before you connect: “Google hasn't verified this app”
The features are open to everyone, but Google is still reviewing Sayweek. Until the review is done, Google shows a warning when you connect – that's expected and doesn't change the access you grant. Sayweek explains what you'll see before you connect; then click Continue to Google.
- Choose your Google account.
- On the “Google hasn't verified this app” warning, click Advanced.
- Click Go to Sayweek (unsafe) and allow the access it asks for.
Connect your account
- Open Settings → All integrations and click the Google Workspace card.
- Under Connected accounts, click Connect a Google account (if there's one already: + Another Google account).
- Choose the account, get past the warning (see above) and allow reading your calendar.
- Back in Sayweek, the account appears in the list and the Google Calendar row is switched on. If you don't need it, switch it off.

Features one by one
Under Features, every feature has its own row: a switch, a status and a Settings section. That's where you find Test connection, the help link, Meet's own settings and, for Gmail, Calendar and Drive, the Detailed settings link (exclusions, brand, export folder).
- Gmail ideas – post ideas from last week's e-mail, using only the subject, the date and a redacted preview. See Gmail.
- Google Calendar – travel, time off, events; your posts adapt to them. See Google Calendar.
- Google Drive photos – photos for your posts from Drive, plus the monthly content plan export. See Google Drive.
- Google Meet transcripts – post ideas from your Google Meet transcripts, anonymised. See Google Meet transcripts.
What the statuses mean
- Active – switched on and working.
- Off – not switched on; use the switch to turn it on at any time.
- Needs an extra permission – your account is connected, but this feature needs one more permission. Switching it on asks for this only; the other features don't change.
- Private beta – the feature is still waiting for Google's approval; until then only invited test accounts can switch it on. The other features aren't affected.
- Needs attention – switched on, but something isn't right; the row's Settings show the reason.
- Coming soon – not switched on on this server yet.
Disconnect
- Open Settings → All integrations and click the Google Workspace card.
- To stop one feature, switch off the switch in its row. To remove the account completely, click Disconnect next to it under Connected accounts and confirm – this stops every feature of that account; ideas already created stay.
