Google Analytics 4

Coming soonThis feature is coming soon – this guide shows how it will work.

How many visitors and conversions each post brought to your website – from the UTM parameters of your post links, with read-only access.

Updated:

Once Google Analytics 4 is connected, Sayweek uses the UTM parameters of the links in your posts to show how many visitors and conversions (key events) each post brought to your website. It refreshes daily and looks at the last 90 days.

Before you start

  • You need a Google account that can see your website's GA4 property.
  • Owners and editors can connect it.
  • Switch on link tracking (UTM + short link) for the brand, otherwise there's nothing to match.

Connect

  1. Open Settings → All integrations.
  2. Click the Google Analytics 4 card.
  3. Click Connect Google Analytics, then choose your account at Google and allow access.
  4. Choose the property under Default property (all brands). With several brands, you can set a different one per brand.
  5. Under Counts as a conversion, tick the key events that should count. If you tick nothing, every key event counts.
The All integrations page with the Google Analytics 4 card.

You don't have to wait until tomorrow for the first numbers: click Refresh now. You'll find the results on the Statistics page.

What Sayweek can access

Read-only access (analytics.readonly). Only aggregated numbers per campaign and post are fetched (sessions, engaged sessions, key events, revenue). No visitor-level data is stored and nothing is changed in Analytics.

Disconnect

  1. Open the Google Analytics 4 card on the All integrations page.
  2. Click Disconnect and confirm. The cached visitor numbers are deleted.
