Mention watcher: what people say about you
We watch public mentions of your company, brand and name and tell you when it matters – with sentiment, importance and a reply idea in your voice.
Updated:
The Mentions page shows what public news, blogs and the comments under your own posts say about you and your company. We look around every three hours. We never post for you: you copy the reply idea and send it yourself.
Setting it up
- Open the Mentions page. We fill in your brands' names for you.
- Edit or add the names to watch (company, brand, product, your own name), separated by commas – at most 10.
- Click Start watching.
- Use the Settings button for exclude words, your own feeds, notifications and quiet hours.
Where do we look?
- Google News: an exact search for every watched name over the last seven days, without the exclude words.
- Your own feeds: the RSS links you add (industry blogs, local news sites) – only the articles that mention one of the watched names.
- Comments under your posts: comments on your directly published LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram posts that Sayweek already reads for the comment inbox.
- We match the name as whole words, ignoring case and accents. If an exclude word appears too, we skip the hit.
A mention card
- Sentiment (positive, neutral, negative) and importance from 1 to 10 – negative and more important ones come first.
- One sentence on what it says and why it matters, plus two reply ideas in your voice. Copy copies one, Open opens the original.
- The same story in several outlets shows up only once, and we never show a mention twice.
- Done or Not relevant: it leaves the open list; you'll still find it on the All tab.
Notifications
- Push notification to your phone and browser when a new, important enough mention comes in – at most three times a day.
- Daily e-mail digest at your reminder hour. It's on by default if your e-mail reminders are on.
- Telegram message if you linked Telegram with Sayweek.
- Quiet hours: no push or Telegram notifications in that window; you get them together afterwards.
Privacy
We only read public sources. The text of mentions from comments is deleted after 48 hours (the link stays), every mention after 90 days. Claude judges sentiment and importance; without the AI set up, a simple word list estimates the sentiment and there are no reply ideas.
