Offline mode
Review, edit and approve the coming weeks' posts without internet; when they sync, the server checks everything again.
Updated:
Sayweek keeps the next three weeks of posts on this device. If the internet drops, a bar appears at the bottom – with the Offline mode button you carry on right where you are.
- Open Sayweek once with an internet connection on this device – that's when we save the posts (and, in the installed web app, the offline page itself).
- Without a connection, click Offline mode: you see the coming weeks' posts day by day.
- Use Edit to fix the text, hashtags and first comment, and Approve (when syncing) to approve.
- As soon as you're back online, everything syncs by itself; the Sync now button on the bar starts it right away.
What happens when it syncs?
- The server checks every offline approval again with the same rules as online: if something is missing (e.g. an image, a taken day) or there is an approval chain, that still applies.
- An offline approval holds only for the text you saw – if someone changed the post meanwhile, we hand the decision back to you.
- If the post was also edited elsewhere, we flag a conflict: you see your version and the server's side by side and choose which one stays.
Privacy and the phone apps
Offline data stays on this device and belongs only to your account: we delete it when you sign out, and immediately when someone else signs in. In the phone apps offline mode works while the app is open; starting the app without internet shows the app's own offline screen.
