The Android app
Fingerprint sign-in, sharing from any app and notifications – Sayweek's native app for Android.
Updated:
The Android app uses the same account and the same data as Sayweek on the web. On top of that it adds fingerprint sign-in, the Share menu and notifications. The widget, the Reminders import and Sign in with Apple are only in the iPhone app.
Before you start
- Install the app from Google Play as soon as it's available there – the app page shows the current status.
- You need a Sayweek account (you can also sign up on the web).
- The app doesn't show prices or checkout: you manage your subscription on the web.
Sign in and link the phone
- Open the app and sign in with Google (Continue with Google) or your password (Sign in).
- Open Settings → This phone.
- Under Link this phone, tap Connect.
- Switch on Sign in with fingerprint.
Linking issues a device key protected by the Android keystore; the server only stores the key's fingerprint. After signing out, your fingerprint is one touch on the sign-in page, and the “Sayweek idea” share target works too.
Notifications
- Open Settings → Reminders.
- Under Notifications on this device, tap Turn on notifications and allow them.
