Replies on Threads

Under a published Threads post you can read replies in Sayweek, answer them, ask for AI reply ideas and hide replies. It needs an extra Meta permission.

Updated:

When a post went out through a direct Threads connection, its post page shows a Replies on Threads section. You see the whole conversation as threads, and you can answer without opening the Threads app.

Before you start

  • The Threads account needs a direct connection – for posts sent through Postiz this section doesn't show: Connect Threads.
  • Owners and editors can reply and hide; as a viewer you can only read the conversation.
  • Meta asks for two separate permissions: threads_read_replies to read replies, and threads_manage_replies to reply and hide.

Writing a reply

  1. Open the published post (for example from the calendar) and scroll to Replies on Threads. Refresh reloads the conversation.
  2. Reply to the post in the Reply to the post… field, or to a reply with its Reply button. If you need an idea, click ✦ Reply ideas.
  3. Click Send reply – it goes out from your connected account (Replying as @…), up to 500 characters.

Hiding a reply

Hide someone else's reply with Hide: on Threads it then only shows behind a “Hidden replies” button, and its author isn't notified. Unhide brings it back. Your own replies can't be hidden. Open on Threads ↗ shows the post on Threads.

If you see “Reconnect Threads”

This shows when the connection is missing one of the permissions above, or the sign-in has expired. Click Reconnect Threads, sign in and allow the new permissions.
