Signing up with an invite code
Sayweek is in early access: you sign up with an invite code or a personal e-mail invitation. Here's how to redeem a code and what the error messages mean.
Updated:
While sign-up is invite-only, there are two ways to create an account: with an invite code (for example SAYWEEK-7KQ4), or, if you received a personal invitation by e-mail, with that e-mail address. The sign-up page then says “Sign-up is invite-only right now.”
Signing up with a code
- Open the sign-up page – on the sign-in page, Sign up with it in the Got an invitation? line takes you there.
- Type the code into the Invite code field (upper or lower case doesn't matter). If you don't see the field, click Have an invite code?.
- When you leave the field, Sayweek checks the code right away and tells you what it gives you, for example “Valid code: 14-day trial …”.
- Carry on signing up with your e-mail address or your Google account – the code is redeemed when the account is created.
If the code doesn't work
- “This invite code doesn't exist.” – check that you typed it exactly (hyphen, letters, digits).
- “This invite code has expired …” or “… isn't valid yet” – the code can only be redeemed within a set period.
- “… already been redeemed the maximum number of times” or “… has been withdrawn” – ask whoever gave it to you for a new code.
- “Too many invite code attempts” – wait a little and try again.
No code?
On the sign-in page, Request access lets you ask for an invitation. If a colleague invites you to their workspace, you don't need a code: the invitation comes by e-mail and is valid for 14 days – see Invite colleagues. Anyone who signed up with an invitation or a code keeps access after it expires.
