Apple Reminders, Siri, Share menu and widget
In the iPhone app, ideas on the “Sayweek” reminders list (also via Siri) land in the ideas box; the Share menu and the widget send there too.
Updated:
In the iPhone app, a Reminders list called “Sayweek” works as an idea inbox: whatever you add to it – by hand or with Siri – lands in the ideas box and gets ticked off in Reminders. The same place also turns on the Share menu and the home screen widget.
Before you start
You need the Sayweek iPhone app (iPhone app); this isn't available in the browser. The Android app supports the Share menu and fingerprint sign-in, but not Reminders.
Connect Reminders
- In the iPhone app, open Ideas → Ideas box.
- Tap ☑ Connect Reminders and allow access in the iOS dialog – the “Sayweek” list is created automatically.
- Add an idea to the “Sayweek” list, or say: “Hey Siri, add … to my Sayweek list”.
- Open the ideas box again: the app pulls in new items by itself, or tap ☑ From Reminders.
The app only reads open items on the “Sayweek” list (up to 20 at a time) and leaves your other lists alone. Items shorter than 10 characters stay on the list.
Share menu and widget
- In the iPhone app, open Settings → Apple: iCloud and iPhone.
- Under On this iPhone / iPad, tap Connect.
- Widget: long-press the home screen → + → Sayweek.
- Share: in Safari, Photos, Notes or LinkedIn → Share → Sayweek – the text or link lands in the ideas box.
Disconnect
- Revoke Reminders access in the iPhone's Settings › Sayweek.
- For the widget and Share, go to Settings → Apple: iCloud and iPhone → Connected devices and click Revoke in the device's row – the widget, Share and Face ID stop working on it immediately.
