Task apps: ideas in, to-dos out
Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Todoist and Apple Reminders: tasks you jot down become ideas, and Sayweek writes down what you have to do.
Updated:
If you run your day from a task app, there's no need to watch yet another place: Sayweek comes to where you already work. There are two directions, each with its own switch, and neither does anything until you switch it on.
Ideas in
Tasks you add to a list of your choice (by default “Sayweek ideas”) become ideas in the ideas box. Client names and contact details are masked, and Sayweek ticks the task off.
To-dos out
On another list (by default “Sayweek to-dos”), Sayweek writes down what you have to do: posts to approve, a missing video, the weekly interview, a connection about to expire – with a due date and a link back into Sayweek. Once it's done in Sayweek, it's ticked off by itself.
Which one to choose?
- Google Tasks – if you use Gmail and Google Calendar.
- Microsoft To Do – for Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com accounts, with reminders.
- Todoist – with projects and exact due times.
- Apple Reminders – in the iPhone app, with Siri too.
- Apple Notes – send a note from the Share menu straight to the ideas box (ideas only, no to-dos).
