Evergreen: fresh versions of your best older posts

Your best-performing posts older than 3, 6 or 12 months come back as fresh drafts – new hook, same insight – by hand or automatically every month.

Updated:

A good post is still good half a year later – most of your followers just don't remember it, and new ones never saw it. Evergreen recycling writes a fresh version of your best-performing older posts – new hook, new structure, same insight – as a draft. Nothing goes out without approval.

What counts as a candidate?

  • A published post at least 3, 6 or 12 months old (the age set for the brand; 6 months by default).
  • It did at least 1.25 times better than a typical post on its channel – this needs measured statistics (a direct channel connection).
  • Or you marked it evergreen by hand and it didn't do worse than average.
  • Not too short, not a cross-post copy of another post, and no fresh version of it was made within the same period.

A fresh version in one click

  1. Open the Overview tab of Statistics – the Evergreen candidates panel shows your best older posts and how much better they did than the channel's typical post.
  2. Click ♻ Fresh version on the post you want.
  3. The new version lands as a draft in the channel's next empty slot, or on the waiting list if there is none. Click Open in the message to review it right away.

The same button is on the page of every published post (Reuse section) and in the post details of Statistics.

Automatic monthly suggestion

  1. Open Settings → Brands & channels and pick the brand.
  2. In the Automatic monthly suggestion row choose how old a post must be to come back: after 3, 6 or 12 months – or Off.
  3. At the start of every month the brand's best candidate becomes a fresh draft in the next empty slot.
Why is the Evergreen candidates panel empty?

There are no old enough posts yet, or no measured statistics. Connect a channel directly (Settings → Channels) and Sayweek collects the numbers every day. Until then you can mark a post as evergreen by hand on its page.

Does it count towards the monthly AI allowance?

Yes, every fresh version counts as one written post.
