Ideas by e-mail and voice

Forward an e-mail to your workspace's secret idea address, or say the idea out loud – both land in your ideas box.

Updated:

There are two quick ways to get an idea into Sayweek without typing: forward it by e-mail to your workspace's own idea address, or dictate it. Both land in the ideas box, with the same brand, channel and time suggestions.

Ideas by e-mail

On the Ideas box tab, the Ideas by e-mail card shows your workspace's secret address. Forward an e-mail there or write a new one – no Gmail access needed. Names and contact details are masked.

  1. Open the Ideas box tab of the Ideas page.
  2. On the Ideas by e-mail card, click Copy and save the address to your contacts (e.g. as “Sayweek idea”).
  3. Forward an e-mail to this address, or write a new one to it.

You can also forward a note-taker's meeting summary or attach a transcript file: it becomes a meeting idea.

Ideas by voice

  1. Below the Ideas box text field, click Dictate and allow the microphone.
  2. Say your idea, then click Stop – the text appears in the field.
  3. Fix it if needed and click ✦ Where does it fit?.

A recording lasts up to 5 minutes, then stops by itself. The audio is only transcribed, never stored. The Dictate button is also there next to your own thoughts in the news radar, and the Record button in the weekly interview works the same way.

What if I see “You didn't allow microphone access”?

Allow the microphone in the browser's address bar (or in your phone's settings) and try again. Until then, you can type the idea.
