Monthly newsletter from your posts
Claude drafts your newsletter from the month's best posts. You edit and approve it, then send it to your own Brevo or Mailchimp – nothing goes out without approval.
Updated:
Every month Claude drafts a newsletter per brand from the month's best-performing posts: a subject line, an intro, a heading and short summary per post with its link, a call to action with a button and a closing – in your brand's language and your voice. You edit and approve it, and only then can it go to your own email tool.
Make a draft
- Open the Newsletter page.
- Pick the brand and the month.
- Ask for the draft. Claude writes from the month's best posts (up to 5), ranked by their stats; if there are no numbers yet, the newest come first.
- After a few seconds the draft is there: three subject line options, preview text, the intro, the post blocks, the call to action and the closing.
The same post on several channels appears only once. If the brand published nothing that month, there's nothing to write from. One draft counts as one AI generation of your plan.
Edit and approve
- You can rewrite any text and pick your favourite of the three subject lines.
- You can add a link to the call-to-action button (for example your booking page) – it's kept for next month too.
- Approving needs approval rights (owner or editor). Sayweek records who approved it and when.
- If you change anything after approving, the newsletter becomes a draft again and needs a new approval.
Connect Brevo with an API key
- In Brevo, click your account name at the top right, then SMTP & API, and open the API Keys tab.
- Click Generate a new API key, give it a name (for example “Sayweek”) and copy the key. The right key starts with “xkeysib-” – an SMTP key (“xsmtpsib-”) doesn't work.
- In Sayweek, on the Newsletter page, choose Brevo and paste the key. We check that it works before saving it.
- Choose the list and the verified sender. If there's only one of each, we pick it for you.
Connect Mailchimp with an API key
- In Mailchimp, click your profile, then Profile → Extras → API keys.
- Click Create A Key and copy the key. It ends with a hyphen and the data centre (for example …-us21).
- In Sayweek, on the Newsletter page, choose Mailchimp and paste the key.
- Choose the audience. The sender is the audience's default sender.
You can also connect Mailchimp by signing in: Mailchimp – newsletter. Only a Mailchimp user with the Manager or Admin role can create campaigns.
Draft or scheduled
- Draft: the approved newsletter appears as a campaign in Brevo or Mailchimp, and you send it from there whenever you like.
- Scheduled: you pick a time (at least 15 minutes ahead, up to 90 days out) and your email tool sends it then. Mailchimp rounds to the quarter hour.
- Free Mailchimp accounts can't schedule – the newsletter then stays in Mailchimp as a draft, and we tell you.
- A scheduled newsletter can't be sent a second time. If you no longer want it to go out, stop it in your email tool.
Every e-mail has the footer: the unsubscribe link, the view-in-browser link and, for Mailchimp, your postal address – your email tool fills them in.
Export as HTML or text
You can download the newsletter as HTML or copy it as plain text at any time and paste it into any other email tool – copying isn't sending, so it needs no approval. The export has no unsubscribe link: add it in your email tool.
Automatic draft on the 1st of every month
If you switch it on, on the 1st of every month after 8 a.m. (in your workspace's time zone) last month's draft is made for every brand that published something and has no newsletter for that month yet. You get a notification – nothing is sent, and this one needs your approval too.
