Teleprompter: a video from your post

Your post becomes a short script to say to camera; read it off the teleprompter while you record, and the take goes straight to the video studio.

Updated:

Want to make a video but not sure what to say? Sayweek turns your post into a 30, 45 or 60-second script: an opening line, three points and a call to action – in the post's language, in your voice. Read it off the teleprompter while your phone or computer camera records.

  1. Open the post and scroll to the Video from this post card.
  2. Pick a length and click Write the script. Change anything you like – the card shows roughly how many seconds it takes to read aloud.
  3. Click Open teleprompter and allow the camera and the microphone.
  4. Press the red button: after a 3-2-1 countdown recording starts, and the text scrolls under the camera at your pace.
  5. Watch it back. Not happy? Retake. Good? Use this take – the video is uploaded to the post and the video studio opens.

Teleprompter settings

  • Speed: scroll faster or slower – by default it matches the length you picked.
  • Text size: bigger text is easier to read from further away.
  • Mirrored text: for prompter glass (a beam splitter).
  • Switch camera: front or back camera. You can also pause with the space bar.
Why can I only download the take?

Some browsers (Firefox, for example) only record WebM, which we can't upload to posts. Open the teleprompter in Chrome, Safari or the Sayweek app. If the post has already gone out, you can only download the take as well.

I'd rather record somewhere else.

Use Download script to take it with you as a text file. Attach the finished video in the post editor with the usual video upload.
