Travel and time zones

Set your home and your trips: time slots always apply in the local time of wherever you are that day.

Updated:

Time slots always refer to the local time of wherever you are that day. For example, if you have a 9 a.m. slot and you're in Dubai, the post goes out at 9 a.m. Dubai time. If there's no trip, your home applies.

Set your home

  1. Open Settings → Home and travel.
  2. Under Where are you?, fill in Home – city and Home – time zone (e.g. Europe/Berlin).
  3. Click Save.

Add a trip by hand

  1. Under Travel schedule, enter the From and To dates.
  2. Fill in City and Time zone (e.g. Asia/Dubai).
  3. Click Add trip.

If the app sees that you're somewhere other than home right now, it offers to add that as a trip – click Fill it in. Remove a trip with Delete.

Automatically from your calendar

If you've connected a calendar (on the Mail and calendar page), the app reads where you are from it too. Under Suggestions from your calendar, add a trip with Accept or drop it with Dismiss. With the Automatic location from calendar switch this refreshes every 6 hours by itself; Refresh now does it straight away. Under Your own rules (optional) you can say which word should count as which city and time zone.

Where you see it

  • The Calendar shows the city on travel days (e.g. ✈ Dubai).
  • The bottom of the calendar tells you whose local time the times are shown in.
  • If the brand's audience is in another time zone, the post's quick preview also shows what time the audience sees it.
