Trending topics and hashtags that fit
What's starting to trend in your field's news, and which hashtags fit your post – within each network's hashtag rules.
Updated:
From your News radar sources (RSS, Google News for your topics), Sayweek counts which words and phrases come up clearly more often this week than last week – in your brand's language and country.
- Open the From news tab of the Ideas page and scroll to the Trending topics in your field card.
- For each topic you see how many headlines mentioned it this week and before, an example headline and a matching hashtag. + As an idea puts it into your Ideas box.
- In the post editor, click ✦ Hashtags that fit under the hashtag field: pick from trending and your own frequent hashtags that fit your text.
Rules per network
- Suggestions never go over the network's limit: 3–5 hashtags on LinkedIn, 2–3 on Instagram, up to 2 on Facebook, X and Bluesky, 1 on Threads.
- We don't suggest hashtags for Google Business Profile updates.
- Of Google Trends' daily nationwide searches, we only show the ones related to your topics.
Where does the data come from?
Public sources only: your News radar RSS feeds, Google News searches and the daily Google Trends list. "Trending" here means news frequency, not paid search data.
