News radar: industry, sources, competitors
Pick an industry per brand, switch on proven sources and watch competitors – every morning Claude picks the news that fits your topics.
Updated:
The news radar watches trade sources for each brand and every morning picks fresh news that fits your topics. You add your own opinion – that's what makes the post yours – and Claude writes the rest. You set up the sources under Settings → News & sources, and find the daily topics on Ideas → From news.
Before you start
- You need at least one brand (Brands and channels).
- Owners and editors can change the sources.
Set up industry and sources
- Open Settings → News & sources.
- In the brand's Industry & sources row, pick the industry – you get 15–25 proven sources right away.
- Click Manage sources and switch sources on or off by group (e.g. Trade media, Podcasts, Google News searches).
- For a source of your own, enter the site or RSS address under Your own sources and competitors and click Add.
- For a competitor, fill in Competitor name (and their blog's RSS address if there is one), then click + Competitor.

The brand card also shows Competitors and Seasonal themes (this month's and next month's themes for the industry). Without an RSS address, the app watches the competitor's name in Google News – it only reads headlines and links, never their pages.
Use the daily topics
- Open the From news tab of the Ideas page – this is where Today's topics from the news is.
- For a topic, write down your own thoughts in a few sentences and pick the channel.
- Click ✦ Write it – or Not interested if you don't need it.
You don't have to wait for the morning: ↻ Refresh now checks the sources straight away. On the same tab you can also run a short interview per brand (Start interview): five questions that turn into topics and news sources.
