WhatsApp: ideas to the Sayweek number
Coming soonThis feature is coming soon – this guide shows how it will work.
Link your WhatsApp to Sayweek: whatever you send the Sayweek number – text, links, voice notes, photos – lands as an idea.
Updated:
Send your ideas to Sayweek's WhatsApp number – text, a link, a voice note or a photo with a caption – and they wait in Sayweek as ideas. Send “draft” and Sayweek writes the post too.
Before you start
The link is personal: each team member links their own WhatsApp to their own Sayweek account. The bot saves ideas for owners and editors; viewers and team voice contributors can't send ideas through it.
Connect
- Open Settings → All integrations.
- Click the WhatsApp card – its panel opens on the right (at the bottom on a phone).
- Click Connect. A one-time code appears (valid for 15 minutes).
- Click Send the code on WhatsApp – WhatsApp opens with a prefilled message.
- Send the message. Sayweek replies that your account is linked.
What you can send
- Text or a link – it lands in the Ideas box.
- A voice note of up to 5 minutes – Sayweek transcribes it and the transcript becomes the idea.
- A photo with a caption – the caption becomes the idea; the photo isn't downloaded.
- A meeting transcript as a file (.txt, .vtt, .srt, .docx) or as a longer text with several speakers – it becomes meeting ideas.
- Keywords as a message on their own: “draft” – write the last idea, “week” – the next 7 days, “help” – help, “stop” – unlink.
What Sayweek stores
Only the idea text (with names masked), the link and a voice note's transcript – never the audio or the photo. Nothing from unlinked chats is stored. Sayweek only answers your own messages, within 24 hours; it never sends marketing or template messages.
Disconnect
- Open Settings → All integrations.
- Click the WhatsApp card – its panel opens on the right (at the bottom on a phone).
- Click Disconnect.
- Confirm the question. Sayweek won't save your messages any more.
I want to use a different phone number. What do I do?
On the WhatsApp card, click Link another chat and send the new code from the new number. You can also unlink from WhatsApp by sending “stop”.
