Emergency brake: stop all publishing
One click stops every scheduled post – in a crisis or after bad news. When you release it, the posts are scheduled again.
Updated:
The emergency brake stops, with one click, every post that's already scheduled but hasn't gone out yet – for example when your company gets bad news, or a scheduled post suddenly comes at the wrong moment.
Who can pull and release it?
Owners and editors can pull it – so anyone can step in quickly. Only an owner can release it. Viewers can do neither.
Pull the emergency brake
- Open Settings → Postiz.
- Under Emergency brake, click ⏸ Emergency brake.
- Confirm the question.
What happens then?
- Every approved post due more than five minutes from now goes back to draft – in Postiz too.
- Direct channels (e.g. LinkedIn) don't send anything either.
- New approvals only go out as drafts while the brake is on.
- A banner at the top of the app says: ⏸ The emergency brake is on: nothing goes live. Release →
Release the emergency brake
- Open Settings → Postiz (or click the banner at the top of the app).
- Click Release emergency brake.
On release, the same posts are scheduled again as long as their time hasn't passed. Posts whose time has passed in the meantime aren't sent – move them to a new time (Reschedule posts).
