Notifications aren't arriving

If push notifications or e-mail reminders don't arrive: when Sayweek sends them and what to check on the device and in the settings.

Updated:

The reminder comes on the day before a post, at the time you set – but only if tomorrow's slots still have unapproved or empty posts. When everything is ready, you get no reminder; that's not a fault.

Check push notifications

  1. On the device where you expect the notification, open Settings → Reminders.
  2. Under Notifications on this device, click Turn on notifications and allow them in the browser or on the phone.
  3. Click Test notification.
  4. If it arrives (“Test notification sent – check your phone.”), push works; if not, see the causes below.

Common causes

“Notifications are blocked in your browser settings.”

You blocked notifications for this site earlier. Allow them in the browser's site settings, then reload the page.

“This browser doesn't support it. On iPhone, add the app to your home screen first and open it from there.”

On iPhone, browser notifications only work from the app added to the home screen – or use the iPhone app. See Browser app (PWA).

“No subscribed device.”

None of your devices is turned on. Turn on notifications on each device where you want them – it's per device.

The e-mail reminder doesn't arrive.

Tick Also email me at: and click Save. Check your spam folder too. If (set up sending first, below) appears next to the checkbox, e-mail sending isn't set up on the server – write to us: Contact support.
