I can't sign in
Forgotten password, account locked after 5 failed attempts, two-factor code – how to get back into your account.
Updated:
On the sign-in page you can use Google, Microsoft, a password or a passkey. If one doesn't work, another often does – people who signed up with Google, for example, have no password until they set one.
Forgot your password
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?.
- Enter your account's E-mail and click Send link.
- Open the e-mail and click the link – it's valid for 1 hour. Nothing arrived? Check your spam folder too.
- Enter your new password, then sign in with it.
Once the new password is saved, your other sessions are signed out (“New password saved. Sign in with it – your earlier sessions have been signed out.”). If the link no longer works: “This link has expired or was already used. Request a new one on the “Forgot password” page.”
Locked account
“Wrong email/username or password. After 5 failed attempts the account is locked for 15 minutes.” After the fifth wrong attempt, wait 15 minutes or set a new password with the steps above – a successful reset lifts the lock. Too many attempts from one place: “Too many attempts – wait a few minutes and try again.”
Two-factor authentication
If it's on, you need the code from your authenticator app after the password: “Enter your password again, and below it the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.” Type the current code into Authentication code. If it's refused, check that your phone's clock is correct. Too many wrong codes lock it for a while: “Too many wrong codes – two-factor authentication is temporarily locked. Try again later.”
